Ndak Jauh Beda Ah

Bulan Februari ini jebulnya penting buat para penganut teori Darwin. Aku nggak perhatian. Pantes aja, kok sejak awal tahun begitu hebohnya posting-posting tentang teori evolusi (baik yang pro maupun yang kontra) bermunculan. (Whatttttt, ndak gaul banget sih saya??)

Anyway, ini ada artikel dari The Economist. Artikel e dhowo. (Males bacanya!) :P Yang ketangkep di mata adalah Grafik tentang Public Acceptance of Evolution. Terus, pembahasannya begini:

... In general, as you might expect, a country’s belief in evolution is inversely correlated with its belief in God. But there is an interesting twist. Gregory Paul, an independent researcher on evolution, and Phil Zuckerman, a sociologist at Pitzer College in California, have argued controversially that a belief in God is inversely correlated with the level of what might be described as the intensity of the struggle for existence. In countries where food is plentiful, health care is universal and housing is accessible, people believe less in God than in those countries where their lives are insecure. A belief in God, and rejection of evolution, they suggest, is most valuable in those societies that are most subject to Darwinian pressures.

Hoo.. jadi Amerika itu termasuk negara sangat insecure (sama ya sama Indonesia?) yang kepercayaan pada Tuhannya masih cukup tinggi (sama juga deh), dibanding banyak negara-negara di Eropa. Hmm... pantes aja waktu Pemilu kemaren isu agama ini jadi rame.

Hmm.. nggak cuma isu agama kayaknya. Keturunan (cucu dari... atau papa dari...) ternyata bisa buat mendongkrak popularitas demi menangguk suara.

My question today...
1) Kalo Indonesia masuk polling, dalam grafik itu kira-kira posisinya dimana ya?
2) Besok pemilu, enak e nyoblos opo, dab? Ada masukan? :P
