Couldn't Understand, Yet!

Some thought were running post watching Rapunzel. Want to watch the festival of lights/lanterns, long hair is indeed cool, etc etc.

One that I can't understand, why would the 'Mother'/Witch want to be young, forever. Looks like she didn't have anyone. Well she had Rapunzel, but she didn't really love her, well kinda, coz she used her. She didn't have any great job (unless you wanted to be witch forever). No friends, no family, no nothing.

So, why would one wanted to live forever in such situation?
