Wi-Fi @ Angkringan

Short message appear on my mobile: "Angkringan yuuuukkkk...."
It's a code that some people are ready to go or even have been there for a while. Hmm..it's always tempting me to go to the angkringan. Especially this one on JMN's parking lot. With only parking fee and a glass of hot tea (Jogja was cold brrrrrrr), I can get a full wi-fi access. It cost me 1.000 Rp. The quality of food and Wi-Fi weren't bad at all :D Well, but you must be really patient to wait for the beverages, since they only have little number of glasses. *wink*

I am not talking about we're sitting in one angkringan then get some leaking Wi-Fi access or something like that. No no.. this one is we're sitting on one that provide Wi-Fi. My friends from outside Jogja or those who have been out of town for a while always re-check what I said, when I said I am at the angkringan.
"Leaky signal, isn't it?"
"Illegal signal eh?"
I can understand why my friends' (especially those who reside in our Capital City) thinking like that. Few days ago, I read in KOMPAS, that some malls in Jakarta started to provide WiFi access for their customers. But they only give limited access and it's not free. Well, I live in Jogja, a heavenly place to connect to the internet using your mobile phone or lappie. Just sit on some little cafe (if you prefer cafe) and you'll get internet access. But, if you go to the cafes you may need to prepare more money than if you choose the angkringan.

Edge of The Ocean

There's a place I dream about,
where the sun never goes out,
and the sky is deep and blue.
won't you take me there with you?

Oh, we can begin again,
shed our skin, let the sun shine in,
at the edge of the ocean,
we can start over again.

There's a world I've always known,
somewhere far away from home,
when I close my eyes I see,

all the space and mystery.

Oh, we can begin again,

shed our skin, let the sun shine in,

at the edge of the ocean,

we can start over again.

Year 2007 is halfway through. Yet so many questions are unanswered.
I pray for the answers. Still, I cannot understand.

Hmm...maybe because what I want..what I need.. is a simple, instant, and easy answers. I want those answers come to me out of nothing at all. Ridiculous, aren't I?

I know.. I know, that I must be patient, waiting for the right time to come, meanwhile walking in the path that I have chosen. It's just that I always feel that I have to see the whole pictures, before I put another steps. Well.. no no..that's out of the rules. I cannot see the whole pictures, yet. It will make this all useless.

These last few weeks were great. So much pain, yet so much gain. (No..no.. I was not getting any vicious charms in these last few weeks, others got it, but I feel it too...)

BCB said, "it's all to make you see the other part of you."
*I don't like it, I hate it, it's so NOT me.*
"You're just not accustomed to that part. It is YOU."

Haa..maybe I will learn how it feel to be a Dr. Jeckyll. (Uncle D, I borrow your lines).

Shalalalalala shalala shalala
at the edge of the ocean,

we can start over again.

Another Change

Here I go again, I have to disciplined myself. To blog or not to blog, that's the question. ^_^

Actually, it's all about the words that I have said to myself and people around me.

I often see myself as a dreamer, yet people see me as a realist. A friend of mine commented, "It's because you never realizing your dreams."

I said, "No, I am in the progress of realizing one of them."

Hmm.. yet now, I am still thinking his words. It may be the truth.

SO.. Time to change...

Owh, it makes me remember on the first point of The Four Agreement (A Wisdom book by Don Miguel Ruiz) "Be Impeccable With Your Word". Speak with integrity, speak only what you mean.

Fly Away Home

tadi pagi jam 0230-an bangun karna kaget. abis gempa lagi sih, gak lama tapi kayaknya lumayan gede. mbangunin aku kali ya... *duh sampe loncat* :D dugudugdugdug...

saking hebohnya *iya, dirumah emang tukang heboh semua* akhirnya kita ngumpul sekamar dan nonton tv bersama *halah* memang kegiatan agak_enggak bermutu. trus pas kita masang pas filmnya mulai, judulnya Fly Away Home. Kirain film apaan gitu, film aneh, tapi kok pemainnya rada2 familiar, itu siy katanya ryan, nek aku gak gitu ngeh, wong masih 5 watt. (ternyata seharusnya emang familiar, wong yang maen Anna Paquin, Jeff Daniels, Dana Delaney, dkk).

ternyata ini film keren banget. daripada aku nulis ulang sinopsisnya silahkan baca disini dan menurut kita harusnya diputer siang2, biar ditonton anak2 sekolah, anak SD-SMP. Anak TK juga boleh deh. Balita/Batita? Hmm.. gak pa pa juga. daripada anak2 tuh dicekoki sinetron gak jelas ama stasiun tipi yang katanya BBM sistem ratingnya kurang bisa dipercaya karna ndak diaudit, ya mending disuruh nonton film beginian.

Jadi inget jaman SD (ato SMP (?)) dulu, setiap minggu pagi jam 10 RCTI punya acara judulnya Film Keluarga. Gak kayak sekarang, ceritanya anak SD/SMP aja dah pacaran. I miss that kind of show!

And the movie leads me to Operation Migration website. Keren ya, di suatu tempat dibelahan bumi yang lain--sebenernya tepat dibalik Indonesia ding ya?--terjadi suatu aktivitas yg sangat2 menarik. Bosen aku mbaca cerita ke-paranoid-annya orang amerika. Berita2 sering banget ngangkat itu, padahal dari cerita2 yg kudenger--beberapa dari mulut pertama--masyarakatnya sendiri nggak gitu2 amat. gimana sih? mbok yao, yg diangkat tuh cerita2 yg bagus2 kayak gerakan C'mon Geese ini. Hebat niy pak Bill Lishman yg punya ide. Gara2 ditolak jadi pilot, ya terbang sendiri, modif gantole jadi ultralight aircraft. Abis gitu nuntun angsa lagi! Salute, Sir!

When (the) Rain Comes

Kalo ujan, paling seneng naek motor yg ada bagasinya. Kenapa? Soalnya bisa bawa jas ujan ma sendal jepit. Terus sendalan jepit terus keujanan... enak... dingin plus suegerrr.

BTW, ada penyakit baru, kemaren ngobrol2 ma Tlu, dan dia menyatakan dengan berapi2 kalo ada temennya yang punya alergi sama cowok bermobil *weleh*. Yang--of course--gak sealiran ma Tlu. Ya iyalah... Kalo mo mobil vs motor, sampai saat ini aku pilih MOTOR. Hujan atawa panas, motor no 1. Tapi nek ono bis ato sarana transportasi lain yg bs diandalkan ketepatan waktunya, aku mungkin mikir2 untuk pindah kelain alat :D

Yen dipikir2, kalo ujan2an kan emang lebih enak make motor yak? *kecuali kalo banjir*
  1. Dingin trus kena air ujan, jadinya basah deh. (emang air ujan menyehatkan? Enggak, tapi kan lumayan buat yg males mandi, bisa jadi mandi gratisan. )
  2. Nyuci motornya ndak capek... kalo bawa mobil kan capek tuh nyucinya. Kalo males nyuci trus dicuciin jatohnya juga LEBIH muahal buangeti.
  3. Bisa alesan make sandal jepit ke kampus. Yeahh.. sandal jepit ROCKS!
  4. Apa lagi ya? Saking hobinya ujan2an naek motor jadi speechless :p
