The Wedding...

08/12/2007
Congratulation to the happy couple, Atika and Ferry.
You have chose a brave step... salute! ^_^
Now I'm waiting for another niece(s) or nephew(s) *no no I'm just joking, no pressure on this matter* :D

Happy wedding ya...
Marriage is not always sunny day. The package is including the cloudy day, the rainy day, the storm, even the winter :D (So many kind of bad weather ya? Still, one bright sunny day can last for 50 years and more!) I hope both of you can through all season. Surely marriage life will open up new doors to magnificent adventures that the singles (read:me) don't even imagine! I wish you all the best.

And in your wedding day, it was a great pleasure to meet some (lotsa-red) old friends. An early reunion! We've been through a lot together. We'll never know what future may bring, but I do think we can hold on this friendship...
=====
Since I don't get any pictures of the bride and the groom (yet) from the tukang jepret, well well.. I have to put my fave couple's pic: Mr. and Mrs. Darcy, on one of my fave pose. Taken from here.

Standing on a Rock when the Wind Blows

An email suddenly remind me of this scene from Pride and Prejudice (2005) movie starred by Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. I wish one day I will take the place of Ms. Lizzie Bennet (Knightley). Huu....huu.... I am obsessed with Fitzwilliam Darcy a.k.a Mr. Darcy. It's an acute one! *darn! He even take the place of Tuxedo Mask of Sailormoon and Rhett Butler of Gone with the Wind. >_<

If I had to choose between the 3 books (2 novels and 1 manga, actually!) Honestly, my choice will fall to Pride and Prejudice. Well, because although the storyline is so simple and soooo easy to guess, yet, the characters are human. I can easily found those characters in everyday life (except for Mr. Darcy's, of course!) **You know who'll take the role of Lizzie Bennet Darcy, eh?** ^_^

And for Gone with the Wind, for me some part of the story is too exaggerated, although IMHO, the story is deeper and have lotsa conflicts (I was dizzy, I still couldn't imagine how Scarlett face those problems!) Although Scarlett O'Hara Butler is one of my favorite character, but still she cannot come out on top of my Mr. Darcy! =))

Some quotes:
Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Tagline:
Sometimes the last person on earth you want to be with is the one person you can't be without.
Dialogue:
Mr. Darcy: I, do not have the talent of conversing easily with people I have never met before.
Elizabeth Bennet: Perhaps you should take your aunt's advice and practice?
Mr. Darcy: You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my aunt last night, and it has taught me to hope as I'd scarcely allowed myself before. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever.

Gone with the Wind (1939):
Rhett: You certainly gave a good imitation of it, up till this morning. No Scarlett, I tried everything. If you'd only met me half way, even when I came back from London.
Scarlett: I was so glad to see you. I was, Rhett, but you were so nasty.
Rhett: And then when you were sick, it was all my fault ... I hoped against hope that you'd call for me, but you didn't.
Scarlett: I wanted you. I wanted you desperately but I didn't think you wanted me.
Rhett: It seems we've been at cross purposes, doesn't it? But it's no use now. As long as there was Bonnie, there was a chance that we might be happy. I liked to think that Bonnie was you, a little girl again, before the war, and poverty had done things to you. She was so like you, and I could pet her, and spoil her, as I wanted to spoil you. But when she went, she took everything.
Scarlett: Oh, Rhett, Rhett please don't say that. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry for everything.
Rhett: My darling, you're such a child. You think that by saying, "I'm sorry," all the past can be corrected. Here, take my handkerchief. Never, at any crisis of your life, have I known you to have a handkerchief.

to [not] forget

One line from Ghost Whisperer stuck on my head...
...Tell her not to remember of who I really was,
but remember me as what she wants me to be...
Make me remember something happened years ago, back in my high school year. It happened on a-kind-of-interview-thing.

"Tell us what is your weakness?"
*I am so bad in remembering things*
"What about your strength?"
*I am easy to forget any bad things that happened to me.*
"How come your weakness is the same with your strength?"
*(talking to myself) Why you ask that question? My weakness is also my strength... what's wrong with that?*

Back then, it was a bad interview, since my interviewers were laughing at my back.
(Shame on you!) I knew that they thought I was silly. But, I am! ^_^ Haa.. crazy high school years!!! :D

I think it's better to remember the good times and throw the bad times away. Why waste the memory to memorize wicked things, when we need lotsa space to save those great ones?
